A-ah, hello Johto and those of you in Kanto now. I'm in serious need of advice! As most of you know Valentine's Day is coming up soon, so I need know...

How do you get girls to notice you?

Er, and by notice I mean in the romantic sort of way? I can't believe I'm actually asking this...

Mmm, Valentine's Day is coming up. And I may have some advice that could be construed as useful, but I have a question for you to answer first.

Why exactly does the holiday in question suddenly spark interest in attracting a girl?

How to get girls to notice you?

Um, well I guess I didn't care much last Valentine's Day, but...I thought maybe the this holiday would a nice way to meet a girl...

That's a bit of a puzzle, isn't it? Sounds like you could use a female persepective, Luke!

Well, getting a girl to notice you can be done in many different ways. This is because there are many different types of girls out there, and they are most certainly not all alike. If you had a specific girl in mind, or perhaps an idea of the type you'd like to meet, that would be quite helpful. Of course, one can work without either of those as well.

Oh. [Whoops. Open-mouth-insert-foot syndrome strikes again.] Y-yeah, that's understandable! It's just if it were someone specific I would be of more help. Because I haven't cracked the code of how to get girls in general to notice you either. But I guess it's important to remember to be yourself more than anything else, you know?

Girls are a puzzle! A mystery! So you've got to give this your all or you'll never be noticed. Throw you're whole being and all your energy into making them notice and like you. So! First of all--spend lots of time with them. Girls love that. It's a sure fire way to get them to swoon. If you see them? Go hang out! In the neighborhood? Drop by their place and see if they're busy.

Second--Listen to everything they say, and know that girls are always right. Most of the time. So nod in all the right places and make sure they know you're paying attention! It makes them feel special or important or whatever. Just, make sure you let them do all the talking, because if you talk too much or about only one thing they'll find you annoying.

And they'll probably punch you, so you know. Be careful. They can be really touchy.

Also, you'll want to let them know you think about them when you're not hanging out. That also makes them feel special.

Well, what sort of girl is she? The one you have your eye on, that is~?

That would depend on the sort of girl you're attempting to attract, I would think.

And last but not least--Dote on them! Tell them they look nice, buy them nice things, compliment them a lot...this is probably the most important! And don't be all nervous when you're complimenting them. If you do, they'll take it as a sign of weakness and go find a more suitable man.

Ah—I'd assume one with interests similar to yours, at the very least.

So, I should do everything I can to be noticed, spend lots of time and dote on them, agree with them on everyone, and never be nervous.

Gosh, this sounds really complicated...

Girls are really complicated, so of course getting them to notice you would be the same.

But you've got the gist of it, so I wouldn't worry.
