Puzzle 019 - [Video/Action for Violet]
Dec. 19th, 2010 09:07 pm[Who has two thumbs and is living out of a nice inn after spending nearly a month traveling through snow and blizzards?
THIS GUY.
After a nice dinner and making himself comfortable in his and Flora’s new room, Luke could not be any happier than he is right now. Especially since he thought they were going to freeze to death in that nasty blizzard, but luckily the police had found them before that happened. A while later, Luke turns on the Pokegear.]
Flora and I made it to Violet. A police officer was kind enough to escort us to town after finding us in that blizzard. We were getting pretty worried there, but Flora’s new Pokemon really saved the day! I’ll be sure to buy some Pokemon treats as a reward later.
[And as a afterthought, he brightens up.]
The Nidoran egg made it too! I’m glad, I didn’t think she would in this weather but she’s still kicking! Literally, I think. The egg's about to hatch too! Or at least it sounds like it...
Anyway, I’m not leaving Violet for a while. At least until this weather clears up. I rather like the idea of being warm for a while.
Oh right! I remember this puzzle I heard I while back, would anyone like to try and solve it?
“An old man wanted to leave all of his money to one of his three sons, but he didn't know which one he should give it to. He gave each of them a few coins and told them to buy something that would be able to fill their living room. The first man bought straw, but there was not enough to fill the room. The second bought some sticks, but they still did not fill the room. The third man bought two things that filled the room, so he obtained his father's fortune. What were the two things that the man bought?”

If you fill something, it could be water, light, or a smell, right? If it's not light, then maybe something that smells...
...
A fire in a fireplace!

Date: 2010-12-20 05:18 am (UTC)It must be something incorporeal, then. Not air. [His voice trails off as he muses]
Scent? Something scented? [He looks at Luke hopefully] The smell of food would fill the room.
