Puzzle 010 - [Action/Video]
Sep. 19th, 2010 03:49 am[Action/Video.]
[So Mr. Curiosity (aka Luke) survived his encounter with evil zombie Professor, and has wandered off a little further ahead of the Professor to check out the creepy fog surrounding the area, with Mr. Bear in tow. The nightmare, as far as he was concerned, was over. No more zombies to deal with, and as long as he didn’t fall off a cliff or something he should be just fine.
What Luke hadn’t expected was a horse-like creature bursting out of the nearby rows of trees, landing on top of Luke with an angry snort and knocking the boy onto his back before he even had a chance to scream. Freezing up, the boy locks eyes with the horse monster with the unusually long neck and red eyes. But even worse, it seems Luke’s old friend has returned - evil headless Layton! And boy does he look mad.
Well, not look mad, being a headless zombie and all, but that sword he’s carrying can’t be a good thing.]
M-Mr. Bear, Mr. Bear, do something quick!! Use slash, use anything!!
[Luke braces himself for the worst as the zombie raises his sword, right before hearing a loud roar followed by a flash of light. A large, bear-like creature lunges forward and slams into the horse at full speed. Luke quickly scrambles to his feet as he watches the battle taking place.
Mr. Bear was no where to be find, instead standing in front of him was this:

Before Luke can ask questions, the horse charges towards him again. If this Pokemon really was Mr. Bear, then-!]
M-Mr. Bear, if you can hear me, use slash!
[The Ursaring lunges forward and knocks the other creature to the ground. Luke quickly grabs a Pokeball from his belt and tosses it the horse-like creature, hoping to offer Mr. Bear some kind of distraction. What Luke wasn't expecting was the horse monster to be swallowed in a flash of light.

P-P-Pokemon d-don't t-try to eat y-you once t-they've been caught, do they?
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-19 08:08 am (UTC)Everything around him was still a bloody mess of London and its ruins. He convinced himself that all of it was a delusion, but it was hard. Especially when he can still hear her screaming his name. It was hard to snap out of everything. He really would have still been running around thinking it was all real if Luke didn't calm him down. Speaking of Luke, wasn't that him yelling?!]
Luke?!
[The Professor rose from his sitting ground and ran towards where he thought Luke walked off to, almost bumping right into trees which were shown as poles in his nightmare. It didn't take him long to find his apprentice and this giant...bear Pokemon?
He immediately runs over to where Luke stood and checked for any injuries. He makes sure that he's in between that bear and Luke though. God knows what that was and what it might do, though he had a slight idea as to who that Pokemon was.]
Luke, are you alright? You're not hurt, are you?
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-19 08:18 am (UTC)I-I'm fine, Professor! I think...
[Mr. Bear just marches right over to them without any worry. Of course now she practically made Luke look tiny by comparison.]
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-19 08:27 am (UTC)He takes notice of the Pokeball in the boy's hand and looks towards the bear that now stood by them. Good Lord, that Pokemon is big]
Is this Mr. Bear? It seems like she helped you catch something?
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-20 05:58 am (UTC)I...I think it's Mr. Bear. She's gotten awful big, hasn't she?
[As if on cue, Mr. Bear nudges Luke's back. She seems to be pretty friendly with them, despite her grumpy expression.]
She helped me catch a new Pokemon, it seems.
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-20 06:11 am (UTC)Yes, quite. I believe she's even taller than me.
Ah, really? Well, congratulations, my boy. What did you capture?
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-21 02:53 am (UTC)I guess I can't leave her out of her Pokeball all the time now, huh? I'm not sure the people in Violet City would be happy to see a giant bear walking around.
Uh...I'm not sure...
[He looks over the Pokeball carefully. The last thing he saw before he captured...whatever this was, was some kind of monster horse.
A-at least it wouldn't attack him now, right?
Luke tosses the Pokeball, releasing whatever was inside and...
out pops a very dopey-looking giraffe Pokemon. Luke just, stares at it.]
...
I was afraid of this?
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-21 03:16 am (UTC)Haha, that is true. Though I have seen a few people walking around town with these large rock-like snakes. Perhaps the citizens are quite used to all of this.
[Yeah...The Professor just kinda stares as well...Seriously, what....]
Well...perhaps all these nightmares are still lingering with us. This could change the way you viewed this, erm, horse minutes ago.
[Honestly, is that thing a horse? A giraffe? A mix between both? Wait...a girose? The Professor had no idea. He should probably leave the imagination to Luke.]
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-21 08:22 am (UTC)A rock-like snake...? Gosh, how big are those?
[Luke just studies the Girafarig for a moment. It looked nothing like the evil nightmare steed he saw earlier.]
It doesn't look anything like that horse I saw earlier, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be scared of a giraffe.
[And it doesn't seem evil anymore either. In fact it seems pretty happy to be hanging out with them. HI GUYS NO HARD FEELINGS ABOUT THEM NIGHTMARES RIGHT. 8D]
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-21 06:03 pm (UTC)[Awww, what a cute looking girose. AND NAH NO HARD FEELINGS AS LONG AS YOU DIDN'T CAUSE THE PROFESSAH'S ONE]
Haha, well, this Pokemon seems to be taking quite a liking to us. Perhaps it was just dragged along with the fog around here. It doesn't seem very harmful.
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-22 04:33 am (UTC)[Maybe he can ride on Mr. Bear then while they're in town. Mr. Bear rides sound like fun. Or he can ride on...whatever he's going to name this giraffe...horse.]
I suppose it's cute, it just looked a lot more scarier in all the fog.
[The fact that an evil headless Layton was riding on it didn't help. But the Girafarig seems nice at least? She decides to nudge Luke a little, and that's when he notices the strange-looking tail on the end.]
Hey, Professor look! This Pokemon has a face on its tail!
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-22 04:41 am (UTC)[Yeah, the Professor would really like his Laytonmobile back. He spent so much money on that; LOOK AT THAT ROOF HE ROSE IT AND EVERYTHING AND NOW IT'S COLLECTING DUST AT HOME AHHH--]
Probably so. I hope this fog will clear up soon. We don't need any more nightmares.
[The Professor walks around and takes a look at that weird face-tail. Okay, y'know what, that weird green thing that Luke has? Yeah, it was just beaten by this girose.]
Huh, that's strange. Do you suppose that it functions just a normal head?
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-22 06:45 am (UTC)[Hey, it works for Luke. You know, aside from Luke being much smaller than the Professor. And don't worry about the Laytonmobile, Professor, it'll get an upgrade soon enough!]
You won't mind, would you Mr. Bear?
[The Ursaring gives a low, grumpy "Ursa..." in response. Dude, don't weigh her down too much she's a fighting Pokemon not a packhorse. Luke picks up on it, fortunately.]
Er, well, perhaps the...giraffe...would let you ride it.
[Speaking of, he's checking out the face on the tail now. It doesn't look very friendly.]
It looks like a normal head to me, I'm not sure...
[Luke reaches out on hand to touch the tail, only to quickly yank back his hand when it tries to snap at him in return.]
Hey, it tried to bite me!
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-22 06:55 am (UTC)Haha, I am afraid I am too big to ride on either of your Pokemon, my boy. Someone your size would be just fine though. I will find something to ride sooner or later.
[als;dfjs LUKKKE STOP TRYING TO GET YOURSELF HURT THE PROFESSOR IS ALREADY WORRIED ABOUT THAT BITE MR. BEAR GAVE YOU THE OTHER DAY]
Careful there, Luke. Its tail is probably to protect itself from predators. Did you check the Pokedex yet?
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-24 10:46 pm (UTC)[Fortunately Luke pulls his hand away just in time! Boy that tail has some sharp-looking teeth.]
Hm? Oh right!
[Pulling out the Pokedex and...]
"Girafarig. Its tail has a small brain of its own. Beware! If you get close, it may react to your scent and bite."
...I guess that would explain it.
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-25 03:46 am (UTC)[The Professor reaches out and tries to pet that girose's actual head. Hopefully it doesn't get any funny business and bite him.]
Have you decided on what to name him or her?
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-25 04:42 am (UTC)[The girose seems quite happy with being petted.]
Uhm, no! I haven't thought of a name yet.
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-26 05:15 am (UTC)[Aw, good girose. This head is so much better than your tail head. Now, who's a good head? Who's a good head? You are!]
Do you have any idea?
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-27 02:58 am (UTC)...Now that's a sentence I'd thought I'd never say.
[action!]
Date: 2010-09-28 01:57 am (UTC)[Seriously, what would you call something like that? Bobo or something.]
